We believe in helping children

achieve their goals by providing

quality, expert, and
individualized care.

OUR SERVICES

Screenings will look at basic age appropriate skills for a child's understanding and expression of language. Simple sound inventory will be assessed during screening. Once screening is completed, a therapist will determine if a more in depth comprehensive evaluation is needed.

During the evaluation you can expect to discuss your concerns with speech and language. A therapist will conduct an evaluation through parent questionnaire, observation, and formal standardized testing. Based on the evaluation results, the therapist will determine if therapy is warranted.

We offer family training and education during every session for carryover and generalization of therapy techniques. Treatment services include: receptive & expressive language delays, articulation/

phonological delays, pragmatic delays, alternative & augmented communication, fluency disorders, and feeding & swallowing disorders.

Our therapists are highly knowledgeable in the teletherapy service delivery model and can provide successful intervention services for children ages 1+ years. Staff are trained to keep young children engaged with varying levels of communication needs. Therapy typically consists of clinician led tasks with a mixture of parent coaching for our younger patients.

LATEST NEWS

Thank you to Amanda Rose with Spectrum News 1 North Carolina for sharing our work with the community. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented language delays for some children, but RPST is working with students each day to help them overcome these challenges and achieve their goals.

Our therapist at RPPST was a conscientious and caring therapist. She proved this by always looking for ways “outside the box” to help my child to obtain their potential. Even if it doesn’t seem likely to work, it is amazing how adapt the tools to the client. My child, has multiple disabilities and is severe and profound challenged.

Tasks are difficult, however, our therapist modified their teaching so that my child could do the task at hand. There are days it is frustrating to me as a parent of a special needs child to want to help her do what she needs to do. Each therapist is also patient and willing to teach our family. Even with the severity of my child's disabilities, our therapist always seemed to be able to get our child to participate with the therapy sessions.

We have enjoyed Raleigh Primary and the way it has helped our family in helping her to make choices and encourage her to do so. The therapist we had at Raleigh Primary Pediatric Speech Therapy was very dependable and enthusiastic about their work.
